The Director of Music Adventures will lead the development and execution of exciting, age-appropriate music programs for children. This individual will create engaging music classes, camps, and events that inspire creativity, confidence, and a love for music. The role also includes hiring and managing staff, organizing musical performances, and promoting the program to ensure its success. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, musically talented, and passionate about making music fun for kids.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and lead age-appropriate music classes and workshops.
  2. Create dynamic lesson plans that incorporate singing, instruments, rhythm, and movement.
  3. Organize and lead special music-themed events, parties, and performances.
  4. Develop and run music-based camps during school breaks and holidays.
  5. Set clear goals for program success and measure outcomes.
  6. Staff Hiring & Management:
  7. Hire, train, and supervise staff members, “Rhythm Coaches”, to assist in delivering music programs.
  8. Provide guidance, feedback, and support to staff to ensure high-quality program delivery.
  9. Performance & Event Planning:
  10. Plan and execute seasonal showcases and performances for families.
  11. Coordinate musical activities for birthday parties and special events.
  12. Program Marketing:
  13. Promote music classes, camps, and events through social media, newsletters, and flyers.
  14. Collaborate with the marketing team to create fun and engaging promotional materials.
  15. Inventory & Equipment Management:
  16. Purchase and maintain instruments, sound equipment, and music supplies.
  17. Ensure all equipment is in working order and properly stored after use.
  18. Program Monitoring & Improvement:
  19. Monitor the success of classes and events, adjusting content and delivery to improve engagement.
  20. Collect feedback from participants and families to continually enhance the program.

Qualifications:

  • Background in Music, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching music to children and leading group activities.
  • Strong musical skills, including proficiency with instruments and vocal instruction.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create a fun and energetic environment that encourages learning.
  • Creativity and a passion for inspiring young musicians.

Working Conditions:

  • Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on program schedules.
