Responsibilities:

- Follow all Image and Appearance standards
- Maintain a positive attitude and provide the best service possible
- Greet guests as they enter the restaurant
- Seat guests, maintain the waiting list, and notify waiting guests when seating is available
- Utilize seating system (i.e. Open Table) to ensure proper guest flow
- Monitor reservations and properly communicate updates with managers and guests
- Communicate with servers and managers regarding availability of tables, station assignments, seating of large parties, or special requests
- Communicate with Table Assistants and Bussers and inform them of tables that need resetting
- Ensure host area(s) are stocked with adequate supplies (menus, silverware, business cards, etc.)
- Inspect restrooms and lobby floors for cleanliness and clean as necessary to maintain sanitation standards
- Perform additional duties including participating in pre-shift meetings, rolling silverware, updating seating plans, maintaining floors, cleaning windows, and emptying trash
- Have food and beverage knowledge and be able to answer questions regarding the menu
- Answer telephone and provide directions, hours of operation, take-out orders, etc.
- Assist other employees with stocking stations, bussing, sweeping, refilling water glasses, running food, wiping, cleaning, resetting tables, and taking/assembling take-out orders
- Support restaurant maintenance by stocking supplies and keeping it clean and organized
- Practice teamwork during all shifts and support both FOH and BOH priorities
- Work cohesively with all Team Members
- Be flexible to assist in other departments as requested
- Work well under pressure
- Follow the direction of the Managers on duty
- Support and follow all Marketing initiatives
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Ability to work Late Night shifts, potentially between 12 AM – 3 AM
- Work assigned scheduled shifts
- Alcohol Awareness Certification (i.e. Serv Safe, TIPs, etc.) a plus
- Fluent in English; able to speak, read, and write
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
- Ability to transport items up to 30 pounds
- Remain in a stationary position for up to 4 hours throughout the work shift
- Communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and co-workers
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
