Summary:

We are looking for an energetic, culturally-aware and well-connected Director of PR, Events, and Collaborations to lead our growing efforts in these important areas of our business. The successful candidate will be able to: (1) lead project management and execution for events and collaborations, (2) cultivate and generate PR and press coverage; and (3) originate new opportunities for the company. 

About you:

  • 7+ years of experience in publicity, events, or special projects-related roles in entertainment, fashion, media, hospitality or consumer technology.
  • Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills, with a strong existing network in culturally relevant industries. 
  • Experience building brand equity through events and PR. 
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong creative communication skillset both writing and speaking.
  • Comfortable using data to inform decision making. 
  • Financial acumen required to execute within designated budgets.
  • A flair for details and hospitality.
  • Has a sense for what makes an activation distinctive, relevant and successful.
 

What you’ll do…

PR

  • Develop and nurture relationships with key players in the lifestyle, fashion, media, entertainment, and book industries, including journalists, influencers, editors, publishers, authors, and agents.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for BOTM to engage in culturally relevant trends and events.
  • Conceptualize and secure high-profile media placements that elevate brand awareness.
  • Create and tailor compelling press materials, such as pitches, media kits, profiles, and talking points, for various audiences.

Events and Collaborations

  • Ideate and develop opportunities that will raise awareness and achieve other business objectives.
  • Project manage and execute all aspects of brand building events at a very high level of detail.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the internal BOTM team and various external parties, providing seamless and effective coordination on projects. 
  • Conceptualize events that could generate meaningful press impressions and then actually make those events happen. 
 

 

Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $170,000
