Salary: $95,000 - $130,000 DOE

POSITION SUMMARY: Live Events - Associate Creative Director [ACD]:

The Live Events ACD is an experiential design expert and creative thinker with at least 3 years of agency or corporate live event industry experience, a passion for storytelling, a strategic mindset, and an eye for exceptional design. This newly created role willbe responsible for developing the overall creative vision and strategy for global corporate client events, collaborating with our Sales and Execution teams to develop memorable and impactful experiences at various project scales.The individual in this position must exhibit the consistent ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure brand consistency and client engagement, as well as uphold CEIs Vision and established Core Values.

  • Think big picture about the company, clients, and pitches that will drive us forward with new creative ideas.
  • Maintain a high level of polish and generate work that deeply engages our client's audience.
  • Develop and deliver creative concepts for new and existing business.
  • Use left brain/right brain thinking to develop concepts rooted in strategy, but driven by original concepts.
  • Dissect and interpret client briefs and challenge the status quo with innovative impactful designs.
  • Creatively collaborate in projects from conception, generating innovative and original ideas that align with the client objectives.
  • Sell their creative with crystal clear rationale and passionate energy both internally to our show execution team and externally to clients.
  • Facilitate brainstorming sessions, giving constructive feedback, ensuring the vision is being met, and always pushing the creative thinking.
  • Provide multiple event concepts paying close attention to the attendee experience including neurodiverse considerations as well as current trends and technologies in the event execution space.

The ACD's PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • Ideation + Concepts~
    • Seek to consistently and relentlessly develop concepts that meet the brief, consider the audience, and add value by pushing the creative concept in a bold direction.
    • Communicate clearly. Understand that design is communication and work with our Execution team members to bring ideas to life both visually and verbally.
    • Work with all team members to push and refine creative ideas and design solutions (BEFORE sharing with external stakeholders).
  • Collaboration ~
    • Join early client calls, support Q+A sessions, ask for supporting documents or insights to understand the client's vision and make sure the project starts from a solid creative foundation.
    • Prepare creative proposals to contribute to the RFP process
    • Work to ensure smooth handoff of creative information and design from project confirmation to the assigned Project Manager
    • Incorporate feedback throughout CEIs Road to Success proven process
  • Leadership ~ manage a creative team of internal and outsourced resources to ensure the creative vision aligns with client expectations and agreed deliverables.
  • Post Event Analysis ~ Evaluate the success of the events creative elements, gather feedback from internal and external stakeholders, and identify areas for improvement for future events.

Relevant Experience:

  • Corporate event planning and design, with a strong portfolio of successful event creative direction
  • Proven track record of working with diverse clients and understanding their specific brand needs
  • Experience identifying, securing, and managing outsourced resources as needed to execute creative aspects of a project

Highly Desired 3D Software Skills -a candidate with any of these skills along with relevant experience would move to the"front of the pack":

  • Vector Works
  • Unreal Engine
  • Sketchup or Cinema4D
  • Other similar software

Required Skills & Education candidate must have these minimum skills and education to qualify for the role:

  • Creative Vision ~ strong aesthetic sense and ability to translate concepts into visually compelling event experiences
  • Strategic Thinking ~ deep understanding of live event planning principles and ability to align creative elements with overall event goals
  • Technical Proficiency ~ knowledge of design software (ie CAD) and production techniques relevant to corporate live event design.
  • Bachelors degree preferred but not required or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in an external client-facing environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel to site visits and shows as designated [estimated 20%]
