Your role as an Architectural Designer
As a new Architectural Designer at Timberlyne, you can expect an engaging and dynamic daily routine. Your day will typically start at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, allowing you a stable work-life balance. You will dive into collaborative project meetings, brainstorming with fellow designers and engineers to bring innovative ideas to fruition.
Daily tasks will involve creating detailed architectural drawings, utilizing cutting-edge software, and refining design concepts to meet project specifications. Expect to engage with clients and stakeholders, presenting design proposals and incorporating feedback to elevate your work. You will also conduct site visits to ensure projects align with original plans, fostering a hands-on approach to design. What you need to be successful
To thrive as an Architectural Designer at Timberlyne, you'll need a robust skill set that encompasses both technical and interpersonal abilities. A degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or a related technical program is essential; however, equivalent experience will be taken into account. Your expertise in construction and drafting standards, along with strong 3D modeling skills, is critical for turning innovative ideas into tangible designs. Proficiency in reading construction documents will help you navigate project challenges seamlessly. Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must, as you'll collaborate with diverse teams and present concepts to clients. Being a reliable team player who excels at prioritizing and organizing work will enable you to complete tasks with minimal supervision. Strong analytic, time-management, and problem-solving abilities are imperative for meeting deadlines. Experience in Revit and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required, while familiarity with tools like AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Python will set you apart as an asset to our team!
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Graduate of Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or similar/related Technical Programs
- If a degree is not available, comparative experience will be considered
- AutoCAD, Sketchup, Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo, Navisworks, SalesForce, BlueBeam, Cambium, Hsbcad, Cadworks, Lumion, D5, Python, C#, etc... are considered assets
