GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a Landscape Designer (RLA Registered) to play a key role in the design and execution of residential and site development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape architecture, including conceptual planning, grading, and site layout, with demonstrated expertise in both hand-drawn and computer-generated designs.


  • A comprehensive portfolio showcasing hand renderings and digital design work is required for consideration.
  • Lead and collaborate with engineers, landscape architects, CAD designers, technicians, and sub-consultants to develop and execute high-quality designs.
  • Create and refine hand-drawn and digital conceptual site layouts for subdivisions and other land development projects.
  • Conduct in-depth site analysis, including feasibility studies, zoning and environmental research, and regulatory compliance assessments.
  • Prepare and present landscape and site plans, grading plans, buffer designs, and permit applications, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Act as a key liaison with regulatory agencies, clients, and contractors, ensuring smooth project approvals and coordination.
  • Stay informed on the latest landscape design standards and planning regulations, integrating innovative and sustainable design solutions into projects.
  • Attend and participate in planning commission meetings, providing expert insights into project layouts and design intent.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines efficiently.
  • Utilize Civil 3D and other industry-standard software to develop detailed, accurate construction plans and technical documents.


  • REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in landscape design, architecture, site planning, and land development.
  • Portfolio Requirement: Candidates must provide a portfolio demonstrating hand-drawn sketches, renderings, and computer-generated designs.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas effectively to clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.


  • HIGHLY DESIRED (BUT NOT REQUIRED)Education: Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Registered Landscape Architect (RLA)
