ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW:

Team IMPACT is a national nonprofit that promotes healthy social and emotional development for children living with serious and chronic illnesses, by matching them with college athletic teams. The team provides an extended support network for the children and families using a strengths-based, future-focused perspective. This two-year therapeutic mentoring program provides children with a true sense of belonging and focuses on building confidence and resilience while encouraging healthy behaviors.

To date, Team IMPACT has matched over 3,500 kids on over 750 campuses nationally, and 75,000 student athletes have participated in the program. Founded in Boston, MA in 2011, Team IMPACT has regional offices in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Dallas.


POSITION SUMMARY

Team IMPACT is seeking a creative and skilled graphic designer to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will conceptualize and execute creative graphic design concepts to support marketing, program, and development needs. The Graphic Designer will be practiced in both offline and online design needs, including print flyers, web graphics, marketing campaigns, development materials and event signage. Paramount to this position is the passion for great design that will serve the Team IMPACT brand holistically, as well as the ability to collaborate across all functions. Salary range for this position is 65K – 85K annually.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Design

  • Create visually engaging designs and concepts for various offline and online uses.
  • Responsible for the design of donor collateral to current and perspective supporters including Case for Giving, Annual Investors Report, and emails, etc.
  • Develop and procure event signage for fundraising events including our Game Day Gala and a growing calendar of events across the country.
  • Ensure work aligns with Team IMPACT brand strategy, identity, and guidelines.
  • Update design templates or create new ones as needed.
  • Partner with Digital Content Producer for marketing campaign creative ensuring extension of the base creative works on social media platforms.
  • Responsible for the full cycle design and creative process from generating clear ideas, concepts, and design of creative assets.
  • Consistently pitch new content concepts to improve engagement with the intended audience.
  • Receive and interpret design requests from internal constituents and collaborate on concepting creative to drive desired outcomes.
  • Partner with Development Strategic Communications Manager to ensure the creative matches strategy for collateral.
  • Manage and design production of promotional collateral and procurement.


General

  • Maintains quality control procedures to ensure design and copy are fact-checked, images are brand-compliant and appropriate, and products are up to brand standards.
  • Stay up to date with design trends, continue learning new skills and evolving design for understanding.


REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or proficiency in design within other degree or job
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in graphic design.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in design and creativity skills.
  • Self-starter with passion for graphic design.
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign required.
  • Ability to edit and visually tell a story for a variety of audiences across multiple platforms.
  • Exceptional time management, project management and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to simultaneously work with multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and effectively without close supervision.
  • Possess ability to design motion graphics and work in Adobe After-Effects and Premiere Pro a plus.
  • Experience creating digital and print designs for a sports team or sports-related organization a plus.

  • Possess a highly collaborative work style.
  • Experience developing and executing graphic design in various channels.
  • Commitment to work in partnership with all constituent groups, including staff, volunteers, community partners, etc.
  • Ability to work in an agile environment with tight deadlines, managing multiple projects at once.
  • Experience developing designs using variety and limited sources.
  • Interest in the latest designs and trends.
  • Must be able to work independently in a geographically distributed team.
  • Ability and willingness to travel, work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Must be nimble, willing, and able to change course quickly.
  • Knowledge of Team IMPACT’s mission and programs.
