Position Summary:

Job Summary-

The role of the Store Visual Merchandise Manager is to assume a leadership role for implementing visual merchandising standards and guidelines at store level that are consistent with the company’s standards and directives and to manage a team to successfully meet these goals. Train visual associates to properly execute flow and adjacency throughout the store, proper fixture placement and standards, styling of mannequins, forms, signing, accent lighting, and implementation of visual directives in the store to gain consistent presentation standards. Ensure visual associates partner successfully with merchandising associates in execution of visual directives.

Essential Functions:

Job Functions

• Guide store management on communication and implementation of visual initiatives (i.e.: adjacencies, sale events, visual set-ups, shop installations, promotions, special events.) • Manage visual associates. • Provide corrective feedback and recognition as appropriate. • Identify, recruit, and develop visual team talent. • Complete performance evaluations for visual associates. • Interview visual candidates and make recommendations on hiring decisions. • Supervise, plan, and implement seasonal visual collateral with Store Manager. • Manage daily visual maintenance for all areas. Guide team in working with Store Manager, Assistant Store Managers Merchandise Team Managers, Merchandise Team Leads and associates to see that daily standards are executed and maintained. • Participate in weekly walk-through with Store Manager and attend manager meeting in-store. • Manage maintenance of all mannequins and forms on a regular basis according to the merchandising corporate directives. • Responsible for managing the coordination, inventory, and proper storage of all seasonal trim to prevent damage or destruction of existing materials. Manage team in working with Store Manager and Zone Visual Merchandising Manager to secure proper space and meet requirements. • Manage planning, coordination, and installation of Cosmetic collateral based on Corporate Cosmetic Calendar and individual store setups. Manage maintenance and inventory of all cosmetic collateral properly to ensure no damage occurs. • Manage installation and current upkeep of vendor identification by Family of Business. • Lead team in working with Store Manager and Zone Visual Merchandising Manager to oversee, adjust and target all accent (spotlights) lighting that are complementing mannequins, table forms, strike zones, icon walls, and fixturing along main aisles. • Manage team to work with Store Operations to verify and inspect all incoming receipts and transfer of visual merchandising items, fixtures, collateral and supplies. • Manage team to work with store operations in the packing and transferring of display items and supplies requested by corporate and follow-up as needed. • Ensure team maintains and organizes stock room for visual items. • Follow corporate procedures and policies regarding merchandise borrowed from department stock that are used in visual displays and on mannequins. Ensure team maintains accurate records. • Train and supervise visual, merchandising and selling associates in planning and installation of visual directives and installation of visual directives in the store. Train visual and merchandising associates on the proper usage of tools. • Review and direct visual and merchandise associates and store managers in the planning and installation of visual directives for successful quality implementation. • Ensure team follows up on vendor and in store shop installations and any issues are reported back to Zone Visual Merchandise Manager. • Interview, evaluate, and recommend visual candidates. • Suggest merchandise presentation ideas. • Manage team in assisting in special events and in-store promotions as directed. • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Education / Experience Requirements:

Position Contribution Level: Intermediate Level

Minimum Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma required. • Degree in an accredited art school or college with emphasis on arts, advertising, design or theater preferred. • Minimum of two years experience in Visual Merchandising or retail management.
