AVP Brand Communications Purpose:

The Brand Communications Assistant Vice President (AVP) will drive the development and execution of the SCCU communications strategy. This role requires a seasoned marketer and communicator experienced with a deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, media channels, communication (both internal and external) and a passion for storytelling. The AVP will oversee a talented team, collaborating cross-functionally to elevate our brand presence and ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints. This position operates under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Marketing, with focus on all touchpoints with Members and prospects.

AVP Brand Communications Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the overall brand communications strategy, positioning, and messaging in alignment with company objectives.
  • Define and maintain brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels and campaigns.
  • Lead the development of external brand campaigns and initiatives from concept to execution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, sales, and PR to ensure brand alignment and cohesive messaging.
  • Lead the development of internal communications campaigns and messaging from concept to execution. Collaborate with internal team members and cross-functional departments to ensure message alignment and accuracy of information.
  • Work closely with creative teams to develop engaging content across various channels such as digital, social media, print, and video. Ensure brand storytelling is consistent, authentic, and aligned with brand values.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and collaborations to amplify brand reach and relevance. Leverage partnerships to create co-branded campaigns and innovative marketing initiatives.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with external agencies, influencers, and brand ambassadors.
  • Develop and manage the brand marketing budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve desired outcomes. Ensure cost-effective strategies and initiatives while maximizing ROI on marketing spend.
  • Build and nurture a high-performing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation. The team is responsible for all member and prospect communication, community outreach, media channels with key focus on social, website and banking platforms and for design.
  • Set clear goals and KPIs for the team, monitoring performance and providing regular feedback


AVP Brand Communications Minimum Criteria

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor's Degree required preferably in Marketing/Advertising/Media/Communications or equivalent experience.


Prior Experience:

  • 8-10 years' relevant experience in marketing is required.


Schedule:

  • Full Time, 40 hours a week, during Department hours of operation
    • Monday - Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm.
