Job Description - Marketing & Communications Associate, LIHTI (2500117) Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume): Bachelor's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in business, marketing, journalism, communications, advertising, digital media, or a related field. Experience in communications, design, marketing, social media, or public relations. Experience with content management systems for website creation and management. Experience managing social media accounts for businesses or organizations. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Proficiency in graphic and digital imaging software (Adobe Creative Suite or similar). Proven ability to write web copy, feature stories, media releases, newsletters, or other promotional content. Knowledge of effective graphic design, branding, and marketing principles. Experience in photography and/or video production. Brief Description of Duties: The Marketing & Communication Associate reports to the Associate Director, LIHTI and collaborates with the LIHTI team members to ensure content optimization and performance across digital channels. This role requires attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining strong relationships with LIHTI stakeholders, portfolio companies, and external audiences. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a service-oriented approach, and the ability to write diverse content, including campaign materials, feature stories, brochures, and media releases. They will ensure all content aligns with LIHTI’s strategic goals and brand identity while engaging target audiences across digital platforms such as websites, social media, and email campaigns. Collaborate with the LIHTI team, stakeholders, and portfolio companies to develop and update written and visual content for outreach, recruitment, and engagement for LIHTI. Produce impact stories for websites, campaigns, or news releases by identifying topics, gathering assets, and publishing to appropriate channels. Ensure all content aligns with LIHTI’s brand identity, meets accessibility standards, and maintains consistent messaging and tone. Create or source high-quality images, graphics, or videos to complement content. Implement SEO best practices to increase website visibility and improve engagement. Assist LIHTI directors to develop and manage collateral materials and asset library for executing business strategy including graphics for funding application packets. Partner with LIHTI team, consultants, and stakeholders to develop web content that engages and informs. Create and maintain a website using the provided templates and design snippets. Evaluate and plan website revamp to align with LIHTI’s strategic plan. Manage digital assets and create LIHTI templates to ensure design consistency and the efficient creation of new pages. Ensure that web pages are accessible, accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with their intended purpose. Use data analytics to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and tactics, recommending adjustments as needed. Work with the LIHTI team to develop and implement social media strategies that promote LIHTI initiatives, engage key audiences, and support LIHTI’s communications efforts. Monitor and analyze social media performance to identify areas for improvement and growth. Collaborate with the LIHTI team in strategizing and developing content for marketing campaigns for strategic initiatives and portfolio companies. Support digital marketing strategies by using analytics and tools like Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Siteimprove, and Conductor. ● Other duties as assigned. Employment is subject to the Research policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines, and the availability of funding. FLSA Non-Exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
