Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Marketing Director to lead the marketing team for our B2B business, representing multiple brands that go to market through distribution. This role requires a fast-moving, agile, and strategic thinker with expertise in digital marketing, particularly in website management and SEO, who is willing and comfortable functioning in a “hands-on” capacity while at the same time possessing the presence to interact with senior executives. Committed to staying at the forefront of digital trends and functionality, the ideal candidate will effectively balance technical expertise with a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends, driving brand visibility and growth. The candidate will be quick to connect with others while exhibiting a persuasive, promoting style.


The Marketing Director oversees all aspects of marketing across the portfolio of FCH business units. The Marketing Director will lead the planning, execution, and analysis of B2B marketing programs, campaigns, branded content, and materials aimed at generating sales leads, acquiring new customers, increasing share of wallet with existing customers, and expanding products. Additionally, as a steward of the FCH brands and product lines, this role will bring the value propositions to life by designing and executing marketing initiatives that simplify customers’ lives and make FCH easy to do business with.


Duties/Responsibilities:

Leadership Competencies

  • Lead, coach, and develop the team of marketers who support individual FCH business units.
  • Monitor and analyze Marketing KPI’s and hold the team accountable for delivering targets.
  • Conduct performance reviews with transparent and actionable feedback that is incorporated into personal development plans, with ongoing informal feedback
  • Identify skill gaps, and develop and implement plans to address them.


General Marketing Competencies

  • Lead planning and execution of marketing campaigns that drive business growth.
  • Manage agency partner relationships.
  • Manage the marketing budget to maximize ROI and ensure effective allocation of resources.
  • Manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaderships and functions, including sales, product management, finance, engineering.
  • Integrate acquired businesses and product lines as required.
  • Compose publication-ready written communication. Approve external messaging for grammar, effectiveness, and brand fit.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging marketing technologies.


Digital Marketing Leadership

  • Oversee and optimize company websites across multiple brands, ensuring they are up-to-date, visually engaging, user-friendly, aligned with the latest web trends and functionalities, fulfill the company value proposition and position the business units as industry leaders in customer service.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy to drive organic traffic, improve search rankings, and enhance user engagement.
  • Manage digital campaigns, including PPC, email marketing, and social media, with a focus on lead generation and nurturing relationships within distribution channels.
  • Analyze website performance and digital marketing metrics using tools like Google Analytics or equivalent platforms, providing actionable insights and recommendations.


Brand Management

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies tailored to each brand, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment with company goals.
  • Collaborate with product management and sales teams to create compelling marketing materials, content, and campaigns to support distribution partners and presence at trade shows


Content Creation and Management

  • Oversee the creation of digital assets, including product videos, blogs, and white papers to support customer engagement and brand authority.
  • Ensure website content is optimized for search engines and updated regularly to reflect new products, services, and trends.
  • Maintain sales literature and product catalogs.


Distributor Support

  • Collaborate with distribution partners to create co-branded marketing materials and initiatives that enhance channel performance.
  • Provide marketing support for distributor promotions, trade shows, and events.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communication or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • At least ten years of progressive experience in marketing with five or more years in a marketing leadership role, preferably within a B2B or industrial environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and developing people, preferably with experience managing a remote team.
  • Strong understanding of B2B distribution channels and dynamics.

Proficient with digital marketing concepts and tools.

  • Proficient composition, editing, and grammar skills.
  • Willingness to continue professional learning in the ever-changing digital arena.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Google Analytics, WordPress, Illustrator, Photoshop, LinkedIn account administration, email marketing, live chat, and CRM systems.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Ability to travel by car and plane.
  • Potential for periods of prolonged standing and walking such as at trade shows.
