What the Role Entails

The Studio Operations Management (SOM) team is looking for a Manager to join its team. We lead the strategy and operations of Tencent's global game studio portfolio to deliver the next generation of genre-defining, hyper-immersive games. We do this by:
  • Monitoring and analyzing the overall health of our studio & product portfolios
  • Leading cross-functional initiatives to build operations management processes
  • Mobilising resources from across the org to support portfolio studio games


Responsibilities:
  • Lead analysis of portfolio studio businesses, covering overall company performance, live title metrics and KPI/OKR achievement
  • Design and implement new portfolio management processes, specifically focused on finance and resource management
  • Drive strategic initiatives for the management to tackle the most important risks and issues faced by the global studio portfolio
  • Build strong relationships with portfolio studio executives and gain deep understanding into what makes their teams tick
  • Partner closely with Business Operations, Finance, HR, Production Management, Publishing and Data Insights teams


Who We Look For

  • 8+ years of work experience
  • Current or recent experience in video game industry, experiences in strategy, consulting, finance, PE/VC or operations role strongly preferred
  • Deep passion for video games, understanding of the industry value chain and role of game studios, publishers, and platforms is a plus.
  • Solid financial background, relevant qualifications preferred
  • Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills, with experience presenting to executive-level stakeholders
  • Strong self-starter mindset and ability to thrive in fast-paced, changing environment
  • Excelled MS Excel / PowerPoint proficiency
  • English & Mandarin fluency to communicate with stakeholders across the globe

The base pay range for this position in the state(s) above is $142,800.0 to $300,000.0 per year. Actual pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as other medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the specific position offered.

Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are also able eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) plan, accrue from 15 up to 25 days of vacation leave per year, up to 10 paid holidays per year, 2 floating holidays and accrue up to 10 days of paid sick leave per year. Your benefits eligibility requirement will be adjusted to reflect your location, employment status, duration of employment with the company, and position level. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
