This position is located in the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services (DMHHS) within the Executive Office of the Mayor (EOM) of the District of Columbia. The ICH is a public-private council that serves as the Governing Board for the District of Columbia Continuum of Care. The ICH uses a collective impact framework to align the resources and activities of District government agencies, nonprofit providers, private sector representatives, and philanthropic partners with the goals outlined in Homeward DC 2.0, the strategic plan that guides the District’s efforts to prevent and end homelessness.

The Data and Visualization Analyst is responsible for supporting the ICH Executive Director, Team and Data Scientist as well as the broader network of ICH forums and stakeholders to advance strategic planning priorities and projects. Duties And Responsibilities

Incumbent provides subject matter expertise on data analysis, business intelligence tools, statistical modelling, data visualization, forecasting, and systems analysis and design. Conducts complex analysis using analytic judgment and proven practices. Approaches include pattern, trend, and predictive analyses. Creates data visualizations for a range of scenarios including the identification of trends and forecast possibilities. Prepares memos, briefing decks, reports, and other materials related to methodologies, analyses, results, and recommendations.

Assists with the integration of data to planning analyses, including helping define methodology, undertake research, validation of results, review of findings, and development of reports as needed. Coordinates closely with other District agencies and partner organizations to represent and advance the ICH’s and the District’s policies and objectives and develop integrated approaches. Supports outreach efforts, including stakeholder engagement, meeting preparation and facilitation, and communications support. Performs web and customer experience analytics. Provides expertise and cross-training to ICH staff in the use of data analytics. Qualifications & Education

Education:

Must have a degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or data science. The degree must be in a major field of study at least at the baccalaureate level

or

a combination of education and experience. Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or data science, plus additional education or appropriate experience.

Specialized Experience:

This position requires one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lowest grade level in the District of Columbia government. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the line of work of the position and has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Operating Status:

In-person reporting, flexible and limited telework options available upon position eligibility and operational needs.

Pay Plan, Series, Grade : CS-1560-12

Salary:

$80,784 - $103,333

Collective Bargaining Unit:

This position is not covered under collective bargaining.

This position has been designated as security-sensitive therefore the incumbent of this position will be subject to enhanced suitability screening pursuant to Chapter 4 of DC Personnel Regulations, Suitability, and as such, incumbents of this position shall be subject to criminal background checks, background investigations, and mandatory drug and alcohol testing, as applicable.

Residency Requirement : Applicants claiming “Residency Preference” will be required to maintain residency in the District of Columbia for a minimum of seven (7) years. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of employment.
