About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Brand and Creative to both oversee a high functioning creative process and ensure the ButcherBox brand is effectively woven into our marketing and communication efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading creative teams in a fast-paced eCommerce environment and collaborating across teams and functions to bring brands to life. This role requires a structured, strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and a deep understanding of brand development and management.

As the Director of Brand Marketing and Creative, you are responsible for ensuring the ButcherBox brand communication strategy is implemented effectively across channels.

We are a customer-centric, world-class brand marketing team focused on building brand affinity, relevance, and memorable strategies and tactics to create long-term equity of the ButcherBox brand.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a creative team to produce high-quality, innovative, and engaging brand content that both drives ButcherBox brand affinity and supports growth marketing goals
  • Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies that align with ButcherBox brand and business goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints
  • Partner with User Experience team to pull brand through site experience
  • Drive reporting to understand brand health/awareness
  • Support both developing in-house creative assets and partnering with agencies to enhance brand initiatives

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in leading creative teams and/or brand management, with a focus on eCommerce
  • Proven ability to define and build successful brands
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing creative teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Functional Specialties

  • Creative Management - Lead a high performing creative process, including
  • Optimize creative process while creating high performing assets
  • Leading a hybrid in house/agency creative approach
  • Brand management and positioning - Effectively pull the ButcherBox brand through in the places we communicate with prospective and current members
  • Partner with channel leads to ensure we are using brand effectively in marketing efforts
  • Own evolution of brand positioning to keep pace with marketing efforts
  • Product positioning - Supporting positioning of new and existing products
  • Stakeholder Management - Relentless collaborator working with key stakeholders
$135,000 - $180,000 a year
