Our Product Design Manager (PDM) leads a team of Product Designers in creating a cohesive and relevant user experience across the entire product portfolio. They set design strategy, drive execution of rigorous research and high-quality, user-centered solutions, foster team development, and ensure design ethos alignment to our business goals. Reporting directly to the VP of Product, and leading both in-house and agency-contracted designers/researchers, you'll play a critical role in shaping the next era of our product culture and outcomes for our customers.
In This Role, You Will:
- Lead our user-centered research direction, integrating findings into our design efforts and product strategy.
- Oversee the design process to ensure an intuitive user experience and clear internal product development workflow.
- Ensure we develop and maintain a scalable design system in alignment with our brand and engineering capabilities.
- Mentor and manage a hybrid internal/agency design team, fostering excellence and visibility throughout the organization.
- Engage with senior stakeholders and provide strategic design direction.
- 8+ years of experience in product design, with at least 2+ years in a management or leadership role.
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with experience building a cohesive design team.
- Expertise in design systems, UX best practices, interaction and service design, and user research.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially with senior and executive teams.
- Preferred experience in healthtech, edtech, HRtech, or fintech.
- Compensation: $150,000-$170,000 USD
