Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 [based on experience]

Position Overview
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Proposal Writer to join our dynamic government contracting team. This pivotal role requires a strategic communicator with a demonstrated history of developing persuasive, fully compliant, and competitively positioned proposals for federal government contracts. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing and analytical skills, the ability to synthesize complex technical concepts into clear and compelling narratives, and a proven track record of contributing to successful contract awards in the government sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of high-quality technical proposals in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other solicitations.
- Analyze solicitation requirements to ensure compliance and develop persuasive win strategies.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and executive management to gather and synthesize complex technical information.
- Translate technical concepts into clear, concise, and compelling content tailored for government evaluators.
- Develop proposal outlines, compliance matrices, storyboards, and response strategies.
- Manage the proposal development lifecycle, ensuring milestones are met and submission deadlines are achieved.
- Edit and proofread proposals for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to government requirements.
- Maintain a repository of reusable proposal content, past performance data, and best practices.
- Lead proposal kickoff meetings, outlining strategy, approach, and logistics for the proposal team.
- Monitor and provide feedback on work products from proposal team members to ensure quality and compliance.
- Create graphic illustrations, charts, matrices, and flow diagrams to enhance proposal content and clarity.
Required Qualifications
- 3-7 years of experience writing technical proposals for government contracts.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong research and analytical abilities to develop data-driven proposals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).
- Experience with proposal management software and platforms, including:
- GSA e-Buy
- OASIS IDIQ
- SAM.gov
- Experience with graphics software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop).
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts into compelling proposal content.

- Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) Certification (Foundation or Practitioner Level) – Preferred but not required.
