Job Title: EBC Technology Manager

In this role, you will manage all Executive level Video Conferencing at the Austin Executive Briefing Center.

The Technology Manager will work to deliver real-time technical support for internal and/or external customers. This includes, but is not limited to: user support of business applications, troubleshooting of technical problems, and acting as a liaison between customers and resolving groups. Solve specific, complex technical problems to provide and apply real-time solutions in the areas of:

  • Email problems and functionality questions
  • Network printer problems
  • Data Communication/Networking troubleshooting
  • Remote network dial-in access-PPP and Serial
  • PC configuration and network configuration and imaging laptop support

Innovate and document new methods and procedures as needed. Verify procedures are being followed and notify the proper resource if they are not in compliance. Determine methods and procedures on new assignments.

Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of individualized customer briefings that include the following elements:

  • First Line Technical and Customer Support for the Executive Briefing Center
  • Maintain and troubleshoot all Audio Visual Presentation System and Infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot basic PC/Laptop problems for our Customers to include connectivity and presentation-related issues
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the Center’s PCs/Systems and network infrastructure
  • Monitor all activity on the main floor while providing excellent customer service for Customers, Sales Teams, and staff
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations and floor management
  • Respond promptly to all general phone calls at the center
  • Keep EBC floors secure and monitor restricted access
  • Provide opening/closing day procedures and room setups
  • Greet customers at arrival and assist with questions and requirements throughout the day
  • Assist sales teams on day-of Customer visits
  • Assist with Customer concierge requirements
  • Communicate critical information to sales reps, presenters, catering, and conference center staff
  • Monitor agendas to ensure meetings/briefings arrive on time and advise if running behind schedule
  • Monitor and maintain all Digital and Welcome signage boards within the center
  • Serve as Technical Support, Security, and Operations liaison for day-of activity
  • Work directly with the Briefing Manager as needed to ensure successful events within the center
  • Generate and review BIQ reports to monitor center activity and evolvement
  • Participate and contribute to team/project meetings for the overall well-being of the center

Background and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 2-3 years of professional experience in medium to large network distributed and computing environments
  • Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies while working in a high-tech environment
  • Strong project management experience, technical skills, public speaking skills, and a proven ability to identify, initiate, and drive projects and events to successful completion, on deadline, is required
  • Demonstrate ability to work cross-functionally, think critically, indirectly influence, problem-solve, and lead cross-organizational projects
  • Understanding of product and sales strategy plus a demonstrated ability and commitment to learn and apply knowledge quickly
  • Strong leadership and smart problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of the operational requirements of a briefing program
  • Focuses on highly professional interactions within the team and our supporters; attention to detail and follow-through are critical
  • Applied sense of urgency and ability to drive processes to achieve results
  • Impeccable attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and willingness to handle administrative aspects of the position
  • Some travel may be required
