Base pay range
$28.00/hr - $35.00/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Oversee and coordinate AV installations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Serve as the lead technician on job sites, delegating tasks and providing technical guidance to junior team members.
- Technical Installation & Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain a wide range of audio-visual equipment—including displays, projectors, sound systems, control systems, and video conferencing equipment. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime during events or installations. Program and configure AV systems to meet specific project requirements.
- Quality & Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in accordance with industry safety standards and company policies. Maintain detailed records of installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
- Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand project needs, provide updates, and deliver high-quality customer service.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in AV installation and technical support. Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team of technicians.
- Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of AV systems and equipment, including familiarity with industry-standard brands (e.g., Crestron, Extron, BiAmp, QSC). Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently. Basic understanding of networking principles and low-voltage cabling standards.
- Certifications (Preferred): Certifications for Manufacturer specific training (Shure, Biamp, Crestron, QSC etc).
- Other Requirements: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Flexibility to work off-hours or weekends when project deadlines require.
