Your Opportunity
The brand team is currently working through a refreshed strategy, architecture, and identity for the Pearson brand. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Freelance Graphic Designer to serve as a brand steward, ensuring the integrity and consistency of our new branding system across all touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Stewardship
Act as a primary gatekeeper of the new branding system, ensuring all designs adhere to established guidelines and standards.
Provide guidance and support to internal teams and external partners on proper use of brand assets.
Regularly audit brand applications to identify and correct inconsistencies or misapplications.
Design Execution
Design and deliver high-quality visual assets for both print and digital platforms, including marketing materials, presentations, advertisements, and website elements.
Create templates and update toolkits to streamline brand application for internal teams.
Collaborate with the Creative Director to conceptualize and execute new design initiatives that align with the holistic brand vision.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with internal departments to ensure brand consistency in all projects.
Review and provide constructive feedback on designs produced by other team members or external vendors.
Asset Management
Maintain and organize the brand asset library, ensuring all files are up-to-date, accessible, and easy to use.
Update and expand brand guidelines as needed.
Innovation & Quality Assurance
Stay informed about design trends and innovations to continuously elevate the brand's creative output.
Conduct quality checks on all deliverables to ensure they meet the highest standards of craftsmanship and brand integrity.
Brand Advocacy & Education
Actively promote and educate internal teams and external partners on the new branding system.
Partner with the Brand Manager in developing training materials, presentations, and workshops.
Serve as a point of contact for brand-related inquiries.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
3+ years of professional graphic design experience.
Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong portfolio showcasing a range of branding and design projects.
Deep understanding of branding systems, typography, color theory, and layout principles.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to design excellence.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience working with brand guidelines.
Passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on learners worldwide.

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including skill set, level of experience, and specific location. The pay range for this position is as follows:
The full-time salary for this role is $75,000.
