Responsible for providing reference assistance, library instruction, and specialized subject support in collection development and instruction in areas as assigned. Responsible for facilitating user engagement of the library services and materials by providing Access Services, including oversight for Circulation services in collaboration with the Evening Circulation Supervisor and the Head of Collection Engagement.
Required Qualifications
M.L.S. or equivalent from an ALA accredited program; broad knowledge of software and technology used to perform office, administrative and instructional functions such as Microsoft Office applications; electronic mail such as Outlook. Must have flexibility in work hours, working weekends and evenings as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional master’s in a discipline relevant to LMU programs; some supervisory experience.

Responsibilities
- Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students, and to the community at large;
- Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students;
- Participate on university committees;
- Complete required institutional, program accreditation, and other reports necessary for the advancement of university programs;
- Provide reference service for residential and extended learning students and faculty using face-to-face models, telephone, e-mail, and Web, including some weekend and evening hours;
- Assist Head of Collection Engagement with J. Frank White Academy liaison duties; serve as a library liaison to the College of Mathematics, Sciences, and Health Professions, the School of Engineering, and other areas as assigned; responsibilities include collection development, library instruction, and creation of library guides;
- Provide oversight of Circulation services in collaboration with the Evening Circulation Supervisor and the Head of Collection Engagement; responsibilities include student assistants supervision, stacks maintenance, reserves, and administrative duties regarding circulation system, records maintenance, creating reports, etc.;
- Supervise student assistants and graduate assistants; responsibilities include interviewing and selection, training, scheduling, and managing performance;
- Ensure compliance with copyright guidelines for reserves;
- Review and make recommendations to Library Director and Head of Collection Engagement regarding circulation policies;
- Participate with Head of Collection Management in ensuring diverse and inclusive library collections and services;
- Participate in faculty and student library and technology workshops;
- Remain abreast of current or relevant professional developments, and educational and other organizations in the local community environment as related to LMU instruction and library services;
- Participate in departmental planning and decision-making and implementation of library and departmental policies;
- Perform other duties as assigned;
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding library patron records and other University matters.
