As a Video Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and high-quality delivery of video content across various platforms. Your role will involve working with cutting-edge video technologies, optimizing video workflows, troubleshooting video-related issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. In addition, your networking knowledge will be essential in configuring and maintaining the network infrastructure required for video transmission and distribution.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Video Workflow Management: Design, implement, and optimize video workflows, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality video content across multiple platforms and devices.
  2. Video Encoding and Compression: Utilize industry-standard video encoding and compression techniques to optimize video files for different distribution platforms while maintaining high-quality standards.

  2. Proven experience as a Video Engineer, Video Streaming Engineer, or similar role, with a strong understanding of video encoding, streaming protocols, and adaptive streaming technologies.
  3. Proficient in video encoding tools and techniques (e.g., H.264, HEVC, VP9), adaptive bitrate streaming (e.g., MPEG-DASH, HLS), and video codecs.
  4. Solid networking knowledge and experience with TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, VPN, routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  5. Familiarity with content delivery networks (CDNs), video servers, and transcoding systems (e.g., Wowza, FFmpeg, AWS Elemental).
  6. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve video-related issues efficiently.
  7. Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with automation tools to streamline video workflows and infrastructure management.
