Job Brief: Social Media Manager & Event Marketing Coordinator

Location: Orange County, CA

Employment Type: Contract Preferred

Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer / Founder

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management

  • Develop and execute creative strategies for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and sub-accounts.
  • Oversee content creation, scheduling, and publishing across all platforms, ensuring alignment with brand promotion guidelines.
  • Collaborate with our owner to manage and enhance her personal social media presence.
  • Monitor social media platforms and online channels for trends, brand mentions, and engagement opportunities.
  • Analyze performance metrics and adjust strategies to meet KPIs.
  • Collaborate with CMO on a marketing calendar for social that incorporates master marketing calendar items.

Event Marketing

  • Organize and execute marketing events in partnership with health and wellness brands.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including planning, branding, and on-site representation.
  • Run in-store promotions and activations.
  • Coordinate with West Coast team to execute California based events.

Influencer Engagement & Partnerships

  • Identify and build relationships with influencers and brand ambassadors aligned with Facialworks’ values.
  • Manage influencer campaigns, including content briefs, deliverables, and performance tracking.
  • Collaborate with partners to create impactful campaigns and co-branded opportunities.

Content Creation

  • Utilize video and photography skills to create engaging, on-brand content for social and digital platforms.
  • Work closely with creative teams and graphic designers to develop visually compelling branding assets, including swag, gift cards, and promotional materials.

Administrative & Organizational Tasks

  • Organize and maintain a comprehensive library of branding and content assets.
  • Utilize tools like Tagbox to streamline asset storage and retrieval.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of branding and marketing efforts.

Qualifications

  • Must be highly efficient, extremely organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven experience in social media management across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Strong video and photography skills, with an ability to create high-quality content.
  • Proficiency with Canva or other design tools for creating graphics and social media assets.
  • Experience with event planning or coordination, particularly in the health and wellness industry.
  • Familiarity with working with influencers and managing partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of social media trends, analytics, and tools.
  • Ability to manage customer reviews on platforms like Yelp and Google with professionalism and tact.

Preferred Skills

  • Background in marketing or communications.
  • Passion for skincare, wellness, and health industries.
  • Video editing experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with brand-building strategies and storytelling.
  • Experience managing podcast opportunities or similar media initiatives.
