Our fun, hands-on learning summer camp is looking for a PAID Photography Intern interested in learning all aspects of photography for digital marketing. Capture the excitement, thrill, and satisfaction kids learn by making in a summer camp environment!

What will I do?
With guidance from DEAN Adventure Camps' Marketing Director and Site Director, you’ll document the joy of camp through photography and social media. You’ll capture various activities—from sewing to soccer, swimming to robotics—using a journalistic style to tell the story of camp. Photos will be used for parent communication and social media.
You’ll also help create social media content by shooting short videos, curating photo collections, and writing engaging captions. You'll have creative freedom while working independently on assignments.
We’d love to schedule a first-round interview with you if:
- You’re available full-time (36-40 hours/week) from mid-June to mid-August.
- You have your own camera and understand the basics of photography.
- You enjoy working with kids and thrive in a camp environment.
- You have experience creating short-form videos, curating photo collections, and writing captions for social media.
- You’re comfortable learning new tools like Google Drive, Asana, and Slack.
- You have a strong visual eye, are eager to improve your craft and know your way around Photoshop.
- You can take creative direction while also bringing fresh ideas to the table.
- You work well independently and don’t need constant supervision.
- You’re authentic, adaptable, and have a sense of humor.
Bonus Points (but not required):
- A willingness to learn. Jump in and learn new hands-on skills from our wide range of programming:
- Learn by Making: Sewing, building, baking, cooking, fashion, woodworking, writing, illustrating, coding and robotics, etc.
- Learn by Doing: Biking, skateboarding, parkour, sports, building, exploration, etc.
- Learn by Playing: Creative play with 3-5 year olds through STEAM, cooking/baking, and dance movement.
Important Notes to Consider Before Applying
- This is a PAID position.
- This is ideal for an internship.
- This is an in-person position.
- This is a temporary position.
- This position runs from mid-June mid-August.
- The hours are 35-40 hours a week.
- You must submit a portfolio or link to a collection of your work.
DEAN Adventure Camps Photographer Will Receive
- Full reimbursement for required background checks and certifications:
- This may include certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and FBI fingerprinting.
