PURPOSE

This role reports directly to the Production Director and focuses on all audio aspects of Chapel Pointes Sunday services, events, and ministry activities. Responsibilities include maintaining audio systems, sound design, and volunteer training. Along with all things audio, this role gets to serve and support in all areas of production, if the support is needed. Beyond technical expertise, the Audio Coordinator must display a servants heart, a love for people, and a commitment to always point to Jesus in their work.


Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee all audio-related projects, ensuring alignment with the churchs mission and values.
  • Operate and maintain audio systems for Sunday services, events, and special programs. Provide support for mid-week/weekend events as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair audio equipment; track damaged equipment and arrange replacements or repairs.
  • Develop and manage a team of audio volunteers, including recruitment, training, and scheduling.
  • Set up, test, and optimize sound systems for rehearsals, services, and events.
  • Design and mix live audio for worship services, ensuring clarity, balance, and a distraction-free environment.
  • Stay current on trends and advancements in audio technology, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Collaborate on multi-site audio integration and workflows.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient audio workspace.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge (2+ years preferred) of live sound systems, including mixing boards, microphones, in-ear monitors, and speakers.
  • Familiarity with digital and analog audio systems, as well as signal flow.
  • Experience with networked audio systems (e.g., Dante).
  • Experience mixing front-of-house and/or broadcast audio in a live worship setting.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Allen & Heath, or similar consoles.
  • Working knowledge of audio/video synchronization for live streams.
  • Strong communication skills and able to teach and train volunteers of varying skill levels.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex audio-related issues under pressure.
  • Physically able to lift and move moderate to heavy equipment as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a multi-site environment
  • General production knowledge/experience in lighting, video, or infrastructure.
  • ProPresenter and video editing knowledge.
