We are looking for a Technical Writer who has experience creating self-help artifacts (documents, screen captures and short videos) that explain software solutions to a non-technical audience in a voice that can be understood by all learners. Technical Writer

Primary responsibilities:

  • Research software changes and system enhancements documented in our New Development and Support system to create new and edit existing self-help documentation used by the CaseMax team and our clients.
  • Manage and communicate publication deadlines, so they correspond to the software releases.
  • Extrapolate video scripts of 2-5 minutes that demonstrate set up and usage of key enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the team to fully understand the software changes and their impact on our clients.

Secondary responsibilities:

  • Assist anyone on the team with editing for a variety of purposes, (journal publication to internal email).
  • Create new and edit existing documentation of CaseMax internal business processes for our operations portal.
  • Assist with marketing materials and user group meetings.

Requirements:

  • 5 or more years of technical writing experience
  • Thorough knowledge of composition, grammar, voice and style required by a variety of writing assignments
  • Strong oral communication and active listening skills
  • 2 - 3 years working as part of a software development team, Agile development is preferred
  • Regular and reliable availability covering core business hours
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with co-workers, supervisors and clients
  • Bachelor's degree
