CREATIVE ARTS THERAPIST / COUNSELOR
Community Psychiatric Institute, a leader in Behavioral Healthcare and Chemical Dependency treatment for over 53 years in Essex County, has an opening for a Full-time Counselor / Creative Arts Therapist in our Partial Care program.
We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health - Creative Arts Counselor to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for using creative, and recreational arts to support individuals with mental health and/or substance abuse disorders.
Responsibilities include:
Develop and run Creative and Expressive Arts groups.
Maintain an active caseload in our Partial Care program, providing group and individual counseling.
Performing timely medical records documentation including weekly progress notes and treatment plans.
Work as a part of our Multidisciplinary Team.
Requirements:
* Creative or Recreational arts background.
* Experience working with mental health & substance abuse populations.
* Bachelors or Masters degree in mental health/counseling related field.
