Responsible for the successful installation, operation, and maintenance of audio visual systems throughout the Arena. Ensures projects are completed by assisting the Arena Technical Supervisor in planning and implementation.
Job Functions
- Serve as a Lead team member on projects or as assigned.
- Support and maintain all casino/hotel audio and video systems.
- Evaluate, develop and interpret technical drawings associated with set design, rigging plots, lighting plots, sound plots, and all other technical drawings associated with event production.
- Set, operate, and strike sound, lights, video, staging, and building configurations as necessary per event requirements.
- In absence of AV Supervisor/Manager, interface with other departments to ensure planned events are completed.
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and system checks for audio and video equipment and related systems.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to the production department and supply them to their direct reports.
- Maintain inventory, notify AV Supervisor/Manager with needed supplies.
- Assist in training team members in new systems and providing guidance when necessary.
- Communicate directions to complete tasks required for each show to subordinates, department heads, and staff.
- Maintain an awareness of safety at all times.
- Assist with scheduling.
- Two (2) years of experience in a similar position preferred.
- Must be thoroughly knowledgeable and skilled in the mechanics of a variety of audio and visual systems.
- Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Fundamental understanding of theatrical and concert sound systems.
- Basic understanding of stage lighting, audio/visual systems, stage rigging, and stage carpentry.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
