Job Description
The Sr. Product Marketing Manager, Workplace & Retirement, will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to our captive financial advisor audience to drive revenue growth and adoption of Cetera’s solutions, as well as direct-to-consumer marketing to acquire new plan sponsor and wealth management clients. This role will work closely with the leaders of the Workplace & Retirement and Product Marketing teams to align marketing strategies and execute plans with the business outcomes to be achieved. Targeting the location of San Diego, CA; El Segundo, CA; Metro LA.
What You Will Do
- Assess the marketing needs of the Workplace & Retirement business line to achieve desired outcomes.
- Develop, direct, and execute strategic B2B and B2C marketing plans and campaigns aligned with the goals of our Workplace & Retirement initiative, focusing on adoption of retirement plans by small-business-owner clients of our affiliated firms, and converting plan participants into wealth management clients.
- Determine areas of opportunity to align marketing initiatives to propel the growth of the business.
- Develop and manage relationships with third-parties for copywriting, design, and strategy execution.
- Drive development and accentuation of unique value propositions while incorporating brand and marketing messages appropriately to drive outsized growth.
- Represent the viewpoint of the Workplace Retirement leadership team, financial advisor, and end-client throughout the content creation and strategic planning process with internal partners.
- Track and measure the effectiveness of implemented marketing plans and campaigns, adjusting as needed to maximize engagement and adoption.
- Develop, review, and revise content and messaging to help with targeted sales and education efforts.

What You Will Need To Have
- 7-10+ years of experience in marketing.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including knowledge of AP Style.
- Strong proficiency in a variety of computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Direct experience in workplace retirement plan marketing, preferably with both direct-to-consumer and B2B/B2C marketing programs.
- Familiarity with content management systems, analytics tracking, client relationship management tools, and social media and email marketing platforms. Proficiency in Marketo is a plus.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodology.
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, marketing, communications, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 year(s) of experience in marketing roles. Financial services experience is a plus.
Travel Requirements: Up to (20%)
Compensation: The base annual salary range for this role is $90,000 to $120,000, plus a performance-based bonus. Base annual salary depends on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Base annual salary may also differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
