The department facilitates business and reengineering processes to improve legacy workflow and streamline services to our customers.
Community Engagement provides the bridge through which government information meets with various communications amplification/distribution technologies. This includes cable television oversight, management and technical support, remote/onsite live streaming, website creation/content management, social media outreach, video production, podcast production/distribution, and other, often innovative, approaches to supporting government information efforts.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Montgomery County is looking for a highly skilled, experienced, and reliable Digital Media Specialist. The Digital Media Specialist provides creative technical services in combination with digital outreach efforts. This work includes creation of audio/video content for cable, social media distribution, social media management, website content management, podcast production/management, video on demand management, and more. The professional should be a self-starter that is accountable for work assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Three (3) years of professional experience in audio video television production is required.
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Television
Communications and Media Productions or related field.
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

What You'll Be Doing
Major Duties Include, but are not limited to:
- Work with and support the activities of Community Engagement Team.
- Help to manage content and changes to Office of Broadband Programs websites
- Regularly post and schedule posts to social media vehicles including Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube and others
- Provide creative production support for audio and video projects
- Help to manage the video on demand services through our vendor and integration into the County Cable Montgomery website.
- Continually learn and apply new digital technology techniques and skills to support the goals of the Community Engagement Team
