We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Account Manager with agency experience who thrives in account leadership being a client whisperer, integration driver, and facilitator of positive culture. The Account Manager is responsible for the executional quality and results of client marketing programs. In this role, you will be accountable for successfully managing multiple projects and deadlines, both internally and externally. Youll work closely with our creative, strategy, and execution teams to ensure we deliver exceptional results on time and within budget. Key to this role will be a passion for client service excellence, continuous curiosity, and providing innovative marketing solutions that align with our clients goals and objectives.
This role reports to the Account Supervisor. Its based out of our Chicago office where we currently have a hybrid in-office work policy with at least 2 days in the office. The annual salary range for this role in the Chicago Market is $60k - $80k in base pay, exclusive of any bonuses or benefits, and the base pay offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis, based on experience, skills, training, certifications, education, etc., and will be informed by market data.
Responsibilities:
Take an active role throughout all phases of the project lifecycle for your assigned accounts.
Work closely with the project manager to ensure successful project execution.
Collaborate with internal teams (creative, technical, strategy) to ensure that all teams are working towards the same objective.
Proactively address challenges that arise during the project, including issues related to timelines, deliverables, or client concerns, and implement swift resolutions.
Review all client deliverables to ensure they meet or exceed reliability, accuracy, and quality standards.
Adapt to shifting account priorities based on client needs and expectations.
Facilitate regular client communication through scheduled meetings and calls, ensuring exceptional follow-up.
Support the creation of client presentations with compelling strategic and visual storytelling.
Continuously refine processes from briefing to execution, staying engaged in all campaign operations post-launch.
Work with the Account Lead to anticipate client needs, identify potential risks, and proactively mitigate issues by staying curious, asking questions, and uncovering critical insights.
Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in Integrated Marketing, Digital Advertising, or a related field is required.
3-5 years of account leadership experience, preferably within advertising agencies (ideally with a fully integrated approach).
Hands-on experience with digital marketing, social media, mobile, and/or web technologies.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, deliver persuasive and engaging presentations, and achieve successful outcomes.
Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and presentations.
Experience in durable goods or CPG industries is preferred.
Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana is preferred.
Basic knowledge of HTML and content management systems for websites is a plus.
Passion for high-quality creative work and the ability to elevate projects to the next level.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage timelines across multiple projects.
Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities.
Commitment to client service excellence, with an interest in optimizing processes and driving continuous improvement.
