Job Description - Bilingual Writer and Editor Consultant (2500000013) Post of Duty: Remote. About this position: The bilingual—English and Spanish—writer and editor will lead the creation and revision of content that positions IDB Lab as a partner of choice for co-financing and implementing innovative solutions that drive social inclusion, environmental action, and small business productivity in Latin America and the Caribbean. We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and collaborative bilingual writer and editor to develop and enhance content in both English and Spanish about new and ongoing IDB Lab projects and initiatives, showcasing their positive impact on people's lives. You will work within the communications team, part of the Strategy, Knowledge, and Impact Division (SKI) at IDB Lab. What you’ll do: Content Creation and Editing: Create IDB Lab's corporate blog by developing and deploying engaging blog posts aligned with business priorities, collaborating with both internal and external sources. Report on its performance. Create IDB Lab's corporate newsletter by curating, developing, and deploying its content. Report on its performance. Write, adapt, and edit various communication materials, including but not limited to press releases, spokesperson quotes, talking points, social media posts, web content, and email communications. Workflow Management: Coordinate with IDB Lab's community manager to maintain a digital content calendar that considers the organization's social media, website, blog, newsletter, and email communications. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in communications, journalism, or another related field. Experience: At least 10 years of progressive experience in creating and editing written content. Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable. Collaborate and share knowledge. Focus on clients. Communicate and influence. Innovate and try new things. Requirements: Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of the IDB 48-member countries. Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab. Type of contract and duration: Type of contract: Products and External Services Consultant (PEC), Lump sum. Length of contract: 10 months. Work Location: Remote.
