Company Overview:
The Sr. Marketing Manager is the lead point for all components of the weekly ad program. The Sr. Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategy, development, and execution of each weekly ad to ensure it adheres to the goals and objectives of the program. In addition, this role will also drive the media of this program (print & digital) to reach our customers. The Sr. Marketing Manager will oversee the Marketing Ad Manager and a team of agency partners and creative designers and will work cross-functionally with internal teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills to drive teams and internal stakeholders, be well organized, have strong attention to detail, be an effective multitasker, and most importantly, be an effective communicator at all levels.
Job Details:
- Responsible for partnering with the merch planning team and merchandising partners to assess historical performance, competitive landscape, and calendar shifts to develop space allocations (paginations). In addition, will partner with the merch planning team on the financial profitability report of the ad to ensure the ad is hitting financial benchmarks, and if not, work with merchandising teams to resolve.
- Partner with media agencies (print & digital) and the Marketing Operations Lead to develop Weekly Ad Media strategies, set budgets, and program dates. Will be responsible for monitoring media performance alongside the Decision Science & Analytics team to propose optimizations to maximize marketing approach and budgets.
- Lead strategic conversations with lead merchandising partners and the Chief Merchandising Officer for weekly ad reviews and media performance.
- Oversee timelines and schedules for the weekly ad program across all touchpoints: initiation, proofing, meetings/reviews, finalization while ensuring we are meeting all deadlines.
- Manage day-to-day teams and the touchpoints of weekly ad proofing to ensure accuracy and identify any changes that need to be made prior to finalizing the ad. This includes the account team and creative designers. In addition, will need to identify potential conflicts or issues and surface them up to internal business teams respectively to resolve.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience with print and/or digital weekly ads or catalogs.
- Digital and/or Print Media experience.
- Strong communication skills across varying levels of leadership.
- Strong project management skills with attention to detail.
- Process-oriented and deadline-driven organizational skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines at a given time.
- Leadership: Proven experience of leading and developing team members.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Desired: proficiency using Monday.com or other forms of project management tools.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a related field of study required.
- 7+ years of experience in branding and marketing strategy.
- Experience managing people and/or cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the retail industry.
