The Audio Engineer is primarily responsible for supporting the audio needs of the organization by providing service and executing audio-related tasks. The role will also interface directly with multiple teams such as: Creative Media, Experience, Life.Church Online, YouVersion, CEN AVL Service and support, Broadcast Tech, Learning Team, and all other teams creating audio content. This role will assist in supporting campus audio culture, systems, and procedures by recruiting and leading campus contractors and volunteers. The Audio Engineer utilizes their skills to deliver outcomes that align with the direction of their team to further Life.Church’s mission and to reach people for Christ.
What You'll Do
- Execute Audio Content
- Recruit, equip, and staff audio engineers to meet needs of Life.Church Worship, Senior Pastor, Creative Media, Life.Church Online, YouVersion, Learning Team, and other teams creating audio content.
- Manage audio equipment in all recording spaces.
- Assist in engineering all broadcast events such as: Sermon Tapings, All Staff, Learning Team Q&A, Family Reunion, Global Leadership Network, and other special events.
- Support audio recording spaces, systems, and equipment.
- Manage all recording space calendars.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all recording equipment.
- Create systems and workflows that are user-friendly and have non-audio teams in mind.
- Maintain software licensing, hardware, and peripherals for all recording spaces, and CEN Worship staff computers.
- Plan and Produce
- Schedule and lead audio contractors for Edmond campus weekend, Switch, and Switch Online.
- Lead the audio execution for Life.Church Online, Edmond campus, and Switch Online by mixing FOH, Monitors, or Broadcast.
- Attend and participate in weekly pre-production meetings for weekend and Switch Online.
- Recruit
- Assist in building and developing contractor bench to support Worship audio needs.
- Lead and coach interns, contractors, and volunteers in Life.Church Worship audio applications.
- Provide care to multiple teams and team members.
Skills Needed to Succeed
- Strong leadership skills and understanding on developing and guiding others.
- Maintain flexibility and initiate processes and projects while exemplifying a high level of customer service.
- Effective at multi-tasking, time management, and following up on delegated tasks.
- Strong creative skills, musical and artistic ability and knowledge, and songwriting and recording experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years of work-related experience.
