Civil Designer / Transportation Designer

McClure is seeking a Transportation Civil Designer to join our newly established East Region Transportation team. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with industry experts on a variety of high-visibility and critical projects, including the development of projects from conceptual design to final design and through construction. This position offers a flexible work schedule and the option to work from home, providing an excellent work-life balance. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the core group driving McClure’s growth initiative in the East Region.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor with all staff
• Ability to manage a fair workload by staying focused and managing priorities
• Strong attention to detail and helping the team produce a quality product
• Strong knowledge of CAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D) and other Engineering/Technical skills
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Educational and/or Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
• 2+ years of relevant experience as a civil engineer is preferred
• Experience related to concept development, including horizontal and vertical geometry
• Experience producing complete design plan sets, construction cost estimates, and special provisions
• Experience in stormwater/drainage design and hydrology/hydraulics design a plus
• Proficiency using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience using MicroStation Open Roads Designer a plus
• Experience with MassDOT and/or MA municipal clients a plus
