WMBF is the NBC Network affiliate for the Grand Strand and Pee Dee regions of South Carolina and parts of North Carolina. This Gray Media-owned property was launched in 2008 in Myrtle Beach, SC, and was built as a state-of-the-art HD broadcast facility. We broadcast over 39 hours of live local news and weather + NBC network programming. We offer additional programming via digital broadcast networks like Bounce TV, and Telemundo, and just added the Palmetto Sports Network! We use digital media platforms to deliver Live, Local news coverage across the Myrtle Beach-Florence market. Myrtle Beach is a family vacation destination for millions of visitors each year due to our white sandy beaches, more than a hundred golf courses, amusement parks, and mild weather. Job Summary/Description:

WMBF and Gray Digital Media in Myrtle Beach are seeking a self-motivated individual to join our winning sales team. We provide the culture, tools, and training program for you to achieve unlimited success. You will develop new business opportunities by offering multi-platform advertising solutions including WMBF News and a full suite of digital media products. Our digital product offerings include: Streaming TV, Google, SEO, Social Media, Email Marketing, Targeted Display & Video, plus much more! We function as a full-service local advertising agency. You will be paid a competitive base salary, plus commission opportunities and bonus objectives that put you in control of your total compensation.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop advertising solutions for new customers that deliver results.
  • Create a strategic business plan with the manager to meet and exceed all revenue goals and targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Demonstrate product knowledge and value to local clients.
  • Conduct client meetings and account reviews to address each customer’s most essential needs.
  • Grow accounts by providing proof of performance and solid results.
  • Effectively present the benefits of multiplatform advertising solutions, including broadcast television, digital video, SEM, SEO, social media, display, and emerging technologies.
  • Create and deliver formal written and verbal presentations to clients.
  • Use CRM (Matrix) to manage daily activity, grow a pipeline, and provide accurate weekly revenue projections.
  • Ability to work with station support team members to achieve overall success.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, advertising, or experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint experience is preferred.
  • Team player who can produce quality results and work with a variety of customers.
  • Candidate should be creative, flexible, and able to adapt to industry change.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven industry.
  • Attention to detail, willingness to learn new skills and software.
