Position Overview

The Alexandria Singers are seeking a Music Director who will be responsible for leading our chorus to continue to inspire and uplift the Alexandria community through the power of music. The Music Director must be someone who will lead with care, passion, and creativity—who sees the artistry in every note and values the people behind the music.

Responsibilities

1. Shape our musical vision, bringing fresh ideas and a collaborative spirit to our repertoire, performances, and outreach.
2. Work with our collaborative musicians, chorus, soloists, and creative team to deliver inspiring performances.
3. Guide us with kindness and dedication, ensuring every member feels valued, supported, and encouraged to grow.
4. Nurture a community of adult singers with a mastery of teaching.
5. Build relationships with other choral organizations.
6. Provide educational activities and create opportunities that strengthen our connections.
