Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector communications team is hiring a Public Relations Representative to support the growing communications needs in the business across the Air Dominance division. The candidate will report to the communications manager for the Air Dominance division with specific tasks supporting external and internal communications tasks. The role is based in Palmdale, CA. Using an objectives-based approach, the candidate will support the formulation of compelling stories to deliver measurable results.
The candidate must be competent in execution of integrated communications plans and be able to coordinate requirements with teams in a matrix environment. This requires the candidate to be detail-oriented with an ability to consistently meet assigned deadlines.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience, or a Master's degree in prior fields and 0 years of experience.
- Experience building communications campaigns and executing to completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong judgement, problem solving and organizational skills, and superb attention to detail.
- Proficient in Associated Press Style.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Communications and leadership experience in the defense industry preferred.
- Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
