Your role and responsibilities
The Blue Studio seeks an experienced and highly motivated Executive Producer to oversee various projects. The Executive Producer works alongside Creative Directors, Associate Creative Directors, writers, video production, and IBM stakeholders to create motion, audio, live experiences, thought leadership, client stories, podcasts, and product promotion campaigns. They work directly with production vendors and are the point of contact for stakeholders throughout the process.
Blue Studio Executive Producers deeply understand how a story amplifies and empowers a full surround of content across its supporting assets such as social, web, articles, and event assets. They are versed in storytelling techniques and have worked with vendors of all kinds and sizes. They are excellent communicators, collaborators, and great presenters. Blue Studio Executive Producers bring people along through the complex content creation process and can communicate clearly and empathically. They can handle moments of high pressure and bring calmness and clarity, keeping productions positive for all those involved. They are creative problem solvers at their core, applying critical thought to whatever obstacles get in their way, always looking for solutions that allow for the best creative output.
Responsibilities:
Oversee multiple projects across teams, providing support on complex or high-profile projects.
Act as a mentor and guide for senior producers, helping to grow their skills and supporting their development within the Blue Studio.
Manage relationships for the long term with an understanding and awareness of the complexity of cross-functional teams.
Lean in and troubleshoot challenges on projects that require escalation, offering solutions, or facilitating additional resources.
Review final deliverables for critical projects, ensuring quality and consistency.
Provide constructive feedback to the production team, supporting continual improvement in creative and technical execution.
Oversee budget adherence across multiple projects, often serving as a second layer of approval for complex budgets.
Serve as the production point of contact for important initiatives, ensuring smooth communication and setting expectations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, working closely to negotiate rates and secure reliable partnerships.
Report regularly to leadership, updating project statuses, budget adherence, and team performance.
Communicate any significant challenges or risks to leadership, helping to escalate issues as needed.
Apply critical thought to every project on their plate. Proactively establishing processes and finding solutions that make the team most efficient and the work the most effective.
Required technical and professional expertise
15+ years of relevant experience in producing.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
Extensive experience in leading production teams.

Understanding how to expand experiences across media.
Being passionate, confident, empathetic, positive, and approachable.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and time management.

Agency and in-house experience a plus.
