Job Purpose:
Supports overall Marketing needs of the Red Lion Inn and Little Lion. Reports to the Red Lion Inn General Manager with strategy support from Main Street Hospitality Sr. Director of Marketing. Learn and understand the unique history and iconic branding of the historic Red Lion Inn. Develop relationships with each department on property and within the Berkshires community, along with agency partners, to develop marketing campaigns and provide marketing support. This is an on-site position, with 1-2 days of hybrid work when possible.
Job Responsibilities:
Website:
· Responsible for the website's entire presence, brand identity, accuracy
· Implement SEO best practices, monitor website traffic and continuous optimizations
· Train on editing – offers, seasonal updates, change out images and video on a regular basis
· Align website content with digital marketing campaigns, email promotions, and social media efforts
· Write blog content aligned with revenue goals and SEO
Revenue Management:
· Work closely with Revenue Director to tailor promotions, targeting high-demand periods and boosting occupancy during low seasons
· Attend weekly revenue meetings to analyze data help shape the marketing to support revenue needs
· Responsible for updating the website and booking engine as needed to align with revenue strategies
CRM:
· Responsible for Monthly Newsletters and offer eblasts, content creation, graphics, target audience
· Responsible for growing the CRM database through strategic data collection initiatives and guest engagement efforts
· Update welcome and promotional emails for upcoming arrivals
Graphic Design:
· Ability to design graphics in-house in Canvaor a similar platform
· Coordinate with Graphic Designer on special requests
· Responsible for designing, updating, and maintaining menu layouts and content
· Graphics and invitations throughout the year to support our robust events and programming schedule
Performance Marketing
· Work closely with Digital Agency to maximize and monitor monthly and annual budgets
· Report on performance using analytics tools, report insights
· Provide copy, image, video and special graphics as needed for ads
Social Media:
· Oversee all social media pages: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn
· Coordinate with Agency partner – bi-monthly meetings to discuss, plan and approve content
· Strategically integrate marketing promotions and offers with property highlights, history, and local attraction content
· Capture on property content including video, photos, and trending themes
· Develop social media engagement opportunities for guests on property
Content Development:
· Complete management of photo and video shoots with content developers
· Develop budgets, shot lists, styling needs, and coordinate logistics with the on-property team
· Source and schedule photographers or videographers, stylists and models as needed
· Fulfill any advertising opportunities with appropriate graphics or content
· Maximize involvement with associations with content opportunities and relationships
Brand Integrity:
· Manage the Brand Book and all branded materials, ensuring consistent and proper brand usage across internal teams and external partners
· Responsible for the overall brand integrity of the Red Lion Inn
· Design and manage any posted materials on property
· Management of all Canto photo/video/content/documents, organize, tag and be the authority on all assets
Press:
· Manage and respond to incoming media and influencer requests, vetting inquiries, providing photos or videos and information as needed
· Cultivate and grow relationships with key local press
· Coordinate media and influencer visits, meet and host as needed
· Work with local area tourism offices for placements and ads
Administrative:
· Maintain Marketing Budget documentationand forecasting
· Coordinate invoicing with accounting team
· Assist with Annual Marketing Plan, execute on deliverables and hit KPIs
· Sales team – marketing materials – collateral, flyers, business cards
· Represent The RLI atspecial events, both on and off property, to engage, support, and capture content
· Work with local partners and local businesses
· Report on campaign performanceand overall marketing metrics
· Archival work – accessing and recording
· Monitor competitor activitiesand bring creative ideas
Requirements:
· An associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications
· Previous experience in marketing, hospitality, or similar roles, 2 years
· Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, positive attitude, and efficient work style
· Proficient knowledge of budgeting and forecasting
· Excellent skills in Microsoft suite, Canva, WordPress, Sabre, Stayntouch, Canto or similar platforms
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
