Corporate Communications Director Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations. The Corporate Communications Director will lead the development of internal communications plans, materials, and activities to advance the purpose, mission, strategy, culture and values for the Carelon division. The Director will support Carelon’s business transformation efforts by building advocacy internally through change communications, executive communications, and enterprise and business unit storytelling, helping to create excitement for the future and a sense of unity across all associates. This position will play a key role in driving internal narrative on how we are helping to drive the future of healthcare through our services, capabilities, and technology. How you will make an impact: Develop compelling internal communications that effectively demonstrate how our efforts will further support achievement of the enterprise strategy of becoming a lifetime, trusted health partner. Deliver a variety of strategic communications deliverables best suited to drive holistic adoption of the company’s transformation. Develop recommendations on associate engagement and ambassador-building tactics, to bring associates along in the journey. Partner effectively across the organization and with key stakeholders to align communications to broader enterprise content. Identify awareness gaps and proactively develop communications solutions to increase understanding and adoption. Supports leaders to navigate and lead through enterprise change, including partnering with business leaders. Prioritizes speaking opportunities and prepares talking points, speeches, presentations, and other supporting material. Understands audience’s needs and writes messages accordingly. Identifies, discerns, and reflects executives’ individual voices and styles in tailored prepared remarks. Minimum Requirements: Requires a BA/BS in communications, journalism or public relations; 8 years of experience in a large organization or agency setting; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences: Strong employee communications capabilities, with demonstrated experience in supporting companies through large-scale, enterprise-wide change and strategic positioning initiatives preferred. Experience developing and delivering internal communications strategies which inform and engage preferred. Experience in communications planning and partnering cross-functionally preferred. Knowledge of the managed care/healthcare insurance industry preferred. Exceptional interpersonal, verbal communication skills, along with excellent writing and editing skills preferred. Ability to write about complex concepts in easy-to-understand language and distill messaging to reach a diverse internal audience preferred. Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously with minimal direction preferred. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment preferred. Experience in large, complicated matrixed organizations; ability to navigate through ambiguous situations with little direction preferred. Excellent project management skills, including prioritizing and managing multiple projects and internal stakeholders simultaneously preferred. A demonstrated ability to build relationships and earn the trust of all levels of employees and management preferred. For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary range for this specific position is $121,616 - $152,020 Locations: Minnesota, Illinois In addition to your salary, Elevance Health offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process.
