The Marketing Communications Director has responsibility for managing and growing Critical Mass’s presence in the marketplace by finding creative and interesting ways to tell Critical Mass’s brand story. The Director has deep experience across strategic communications, experiential marketing, social, and PR for reputation management among internal and external audiences. The Director is responsible for Critical Mass’s perception in the marketplace. You will: Lead all Communication and Public Relations for experience design agency. Overall accountability for agency marketing strategy and execution, including annual planning of marketing mix, budgeting, implementation, and post-program analysis. Team & Scope: Reporting to the SVP, Marketing and Communications Partnering with the global Business Development team and Awards Manager to ensure alignment of marketing activating and prospecting efforts. Work with North American & international offices to ensure consistency of communication and global message. External Communications: Lead development of communications strategy for agency including tactical plan to further agency business goals. Lead in communications of agency proposition to external audiences including events, press relations, social spaces, website, branding. Craft key messaging to lead industry discussion that enhances agency proposition. Develop and manage media, influencer relations, and analyst briefings. Leverage relationships with key journalists and influencers for strategic placement of content and reputation management. Drive agency thought leadership through management of case study development, conference sponsorships, executive speaking engagements, and partnerships. Prep Executive team for interviews & build Critical Mass thought leader profiles for panels, juries, keynotes, and events. Oversee development of communications materials including press releases, speeches, Op-eds, memos, video scripts, presentations. Manage key event presence at Cannes, SXSW and other industry events as well as agency proprietary events. Enhance client relationships with collaborative PR efforts. Internal Communications Program: Lead internal communications plan across all global offices to communicate executive vision and shape agency culture. Work in partnership with the CCO, SVP Marketing and Communications, and Brand Designer to reinforce and refine Critical Mass Brand Assets. Media-train renowned and frequently quoted roster of agency experts. Manage team to deliver timely & appropriate internal communications across agency including internal agency newsletter, skills, training, and mentorship. You have: 5-8 years of communications experience in PR, marketing, and social media management for digital or communications agencies. Proven competencies in managing complex teams and executive leadership. Solid experience in formulating and driving long-term strategic messaging plans and digital strategy. Ability to activate a highly motivated team to develop and implement plans. Advanced communication, writing, and organization skills with outstanding attention to detail. Facilitates team motivation and leadership skills and the ability to work with a distributed team. Results-oriented and fiscally responsible for managing the PR and marketing teams’ budget.
