Overview

Associate Director of Marketing Science

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Associate Director of Marketing Science to join our team. This individual will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality campaign reporting, providing actionable insights, and enhancing our analytics capabilities. This is a client-facing role that requires advanced expertise in Excel, proficiency in data visualization tools, and strong storytelling and presentation skills. The Associate Director will lead and mentor a team of analysts and senior analysts, driving excellence in reporting, measurement, and team operations.

Responsibilities

Reporting & Analytics:
  • Oversee the development, modification, QA, and delivery of regular and ad hoc campaign performance reports.
  • Design new reports and optimize existing reporting processes to improve efficiency and insights delivery.

Leadership & Team Management:
  • Provide guidance and support to analysts on reporting processes, troubleshooting, and advanced Excel techniques.
  • Manage team operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reports and analyses.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts and senior analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

Insights & Storytelling:
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and compelling stories for clients.
  • Present findings and recommendations confidently in client-facing meetings, earning trust through reliability and strategic thinking.
  • Develop and implement frameworks for measurement, including learning agendas, brand lift, and sales lift analyses.

Client & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with internal teams, including strategy and investment to align reporting and measurement efforts with broader campaign strategies.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, delivering insights and ensuring their reporting needs are met with precision and quality.

Project Management & Innovation:
  • Drive process improvements, including automation, to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of reporting workflows.
  • Set benchmarks and performance targets using historical campaign data to guide optimizations and goal setting.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in media and marketing analytics, preferably in a campaign reporting or measurement role.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including expertise in formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization within Excel.
  • Strong familiarity with data visualization tools like Datorama, Tableau, or Alteryx (preferred).
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint with the ability to create polished, client-ready presentations.
  • Experience in reporting and automation, including identifying opportunities to streamline reporting processes.
  • Deep understanding of measurement frameworks, learning agendas, brand and sales lift studies
  • Familiarity with ad-serving and web analytics tools such as Google Campaign Manager, DV360, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Snap Ads, and Google Analytics.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use quantitative techniques to solve problems and drive decisions.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Skills)
  • Experience interpreting results from Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and applying findings to strategy.
  • Familiarity with behavioral data sources and identity resolution tools (e.g., Acxiom, Experian, Liveramp).
  • Exposure to syndicated research tools such as MRI, Nielsen, Simmons, or comScore.

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, vacation days, sick days, personal days, paid parental leave, paid medical leave, and STD/LTD insurance benefits.

Compensation Range

$100,000-$130,000 USD

This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
