Bloomberg is looking for an insightful and versatile reporter to cover money, power and the economy in Boston and the broader New England region. You'll be a go-getter, who can build a network of sources to write stories about Boston's richest families, the influential power brokers, some of the region's most important companies, and the role they play in shaping the economy and politics in this key corner of the country. You'll be required to break news, write long-form stories that connect the dots with what's going on nationally and collaborate with other teams within Bloomberg.

Based out of Bloomberg's Boston office, the role also offers the opportunity to tap into real estate, higher education, immigration and other broad themes impacting the country in the aftermath of the 2024 presidential election and in the lead up to the Boston mayoral and Massachusetts governor races.

In this high-profile position, you'll be expected to cut through jargon, telling business-focused stories to a broad audience and capturing the most important issues affecting the region.

We'll trust you to:

- Break news on the richest families and important business developments in Boston and New England

- Have a wide network of sources that you can tap at short notice

- Write both short- and long-term form under tight deadlines

- Collaborate closely with colleagues across the newsroom

- Produce stories across all our platforms

You'll need to have:

- A minimum of 5 years journalism experience

- A track record of breaking news - Ability to report and write clearly, concisely, and accurately under tight deadlines

- An understanding of finance, wealth and the economy

- Deep knowledge of Boston or willingness to learn

Salary Range = 90000 - 120000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
