Description
SUMMARY
The Director of Content Media Research will be responsible for directing the analysis of viewership information and delivering actionable insights that will inform the programming team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directs analysis of cross platform viewership across Hallmark networks and streaming service.
- Works closely with the programming team to deliver viewership insights that drive recommendations regarding programming and scheduling.
- Directs the execution of research analyses, pulls together the findings into a clear story and communicates results to programming and executives.
- Creates ratings estimates and forecasts based on Hallmark content performance and industry trends.
- Interprets market research and analytical data for senior managers to assist in their decision making.
- Interacts with management to keep abreast of the performance of Hallmark programming as well as the industry viewing trends.
- Builds and enhances relationships with key internal and external contacts.
- Directs the work of managers and their subordinates and ensures the ongoing training and development of direct reports.
Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Undergraduate degree - Business, Communications, Marketing, Social/Behavioral Sciences, or related field.
- 10 or more years of relevant research experience working with quantitative data (Nielsen/measurement services) survey-based data and business data, preferably in entertainment, a network, streaming or studio.
- Minimum of 5 years of team management experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Solid working knowledge of Nielsen-based systems and viewing statistics.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Attention to detail, particularly when it comes to data quality and reporting.
- Passionate about research, television, and entertainment content.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to tell a story using data.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Must have excellent PC (Microsoft Office applications) and Database knowledge in skills.
