Job Description
The Content Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing the comprehensive planning, creation, optimization, and distribution of content across various digital platforms. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader who will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including marketing, design, product, and advertising teams—to ensure content initiatives align with business objectives, engage target audiences, and enhance the overall brand strategy. The Marketing Content Manager will be tasked with guiding the development of high-quality, engaging content that supports both organic and paid marketing campaigns, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and effectiveness in all content-driven marketing efforts.
- Content Strategy & Planning:
- Lead the creation and execution of a detailed content strategy that is aligned with the organization’s business goals, brand voice, and target audience.
- Conduct thorough audience research and competitive analysis to identify content gaps and opportunities that will drive differentiation in the marketplace.
- Develop and maintain content calendars, ensuring adherence to deadlines and seamless coordination with production teams for timely content delivery.
- Content Creation & Copywriting:
- Author, edit, and proofread high-quality, engaging content across multiple formats, including blog posts, articles, social media posts, newsletters, product descriptions, and more.
- Ensure that all written content adheres to the company’s brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone and style that resonates with target audiences.
- Collaborate effectively with graphic designers, video producers, and other creative professionals to produce multimedia content that is visually compelling and aligned with strategic goals.
- Apply industry-standard copywriting principles to create persuasive, impactful copy that drives conversions, enhances brand engagement, and fosters customer loyalty
- Content Optimization & SEO:
- Implement and enforce SEO best practices across all content, ensuring optimization for search engines to improve visibility, search rankings, and organic traffic.
- Regularly monitor content performance through analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs) and apply data-driven adjustments to maximize engagement and conversion rates.
- Conduct extensive keyword research and optimize existing content, ensuring ongoing relevance and adherence to SEO guidelines.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop integrated campaigns that leverage content to support product launches, promotions, and key brand-building initiatives.
- Partner with sales and customer support teams to create content that addresses customer pain points, answers questions, and offers solutions.
- Coordinate efforts with the social media team to ensure that content is effectively distributed across appropriate platforms, optimizing reach and engagement within targeted audience segments.
- Content Distribution & Promotion:
- Oversee content distribution strategies across digital channels, including email marketing, social media platforms, and paid media campaigns, ensuring maximum reach and audience engagement.
- Collaborate with the digital advertising team to ensure cohesive content messaging across all paid and organic channel
- Content Governance & Quality Control:
- Ensure that all content is developed and delivered in strict compliance with brand guidelines, quality standards, and applicable legal requirements.
- Establish and maintain an organized content library to streamline access and reference across teams.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance checks to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to project specifications before content is distributed.
- Analytics & Reporting:
- Track and report on key content performance metrics, such as page views, engagement rates, lead generation, and conversion rates, leveraging insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide regular updates and detailed reports to senior leadership regarding content performance, resource allocation, and ROI.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in content creation, content marketing, or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to write high-quality, engaging content.
- Proven experience managing content across various digital platforms, including websites, blogs, social media, and email campaigns, with a focus on audience engagement.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles, content management systems (CMS), and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Ahrefs.
- Expertise in integrating content with paid media campaigns and digital advertising strategies.
- Skills:
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading capabilities, with a meticulous attention to detail and an ability to maintain consistency in brand voice across all content.
- Advanced understanding of copywriting principles and techniques, with the ability to craft persuasive, customer-centric copy that drives conversions and engagement.
- Strong project management abilities, capable of handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative and strategic thinking with a demonstrated ability to generate innovative content ideas that align with business goals.
- Proficiency in SEO, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and content strategy.
- Familiarity with digital advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads) and a solid understanding of how content integrates within paid media strategies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and familiar with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with content management systems (WordPress, HubSpot, etc.) and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn).
