Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Marketing Coordinator is a vital contributor to our marketing and business development efforts, responsible for creating compelling proposals and marketing materials that align with our company’s strategic goals. This role requires a blend of creativity and organizational skills to execute a variety of tasks, including project coordination such as responding to RFPs, managing content, coordinating events, and capturing content through jobsite visits for photo and video campaigns.
A passion for visual storytelling, graphic design, strategic thinking and attention to detail is essential. Additionally, the Marketing Coordinator supports community volunteer initiatives and serves as a dedicated guardian of the Elder brand, ensuring consistency and excellence in all internal and external marketing efforts.
This job is located in-person, primarily in an office setting.
AREAS OF FOCUS
- Project Pursuits (60%) – Coordinate and craft content for proposals, ensuring alignment with RFP requirements.
- Project Support (20%) – on-going support to increase visibility and incorporate brand strategy into current construction projects.
- Communication & Engagement (10%) – responsible to enhance the Elder Brand internally and externally through communication efforts and events.
- Unplanned Work (10%) – any ad-hoc marketing support or flex projects as required.
ESSENTIAL RESPOINSIBILITIES
Project Pursuits
The Marketing Coordinator drives the end-to-end proposal process for project pursuits, from strategy development and RFP management to interview preparation and post-project analysis.
- Analyze RFP documents in detail to align proposal strategies with client needs and competitive advantages.
- Independently oversee the development of multiple RFPs from beginning to delivery to ensure compliance with company standards while completing technical and creative writing, facilitating reviews, and producing compelling submissions.
- Oversee proposal timelines, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are consistently met.
- Collaborate with Work Acquisition and Construction Operations teams to gather information and create engaging, compliant, and persuasive proposal content.
- Edit, proofread, and standardize proposal text for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to style guidelines.
- Maintain and update content libraries, including resumes, project profiles, boilerplate text, and prior responses, for efficient and effective proposal development.
- Lead the marketing aspect of interview preparations, coordinating necessary materials, attending prep sessions, and making real-time updates to deliverables.
- Coordinate post-project follow-up, collecting feedback, documenting lessons learned, tracking win/loss data, and identifying industry trends.
- Identify and implement improvements to proposal processes, tools, and resources to enhance the quality and efficiency of project pursuits and business development efforts.
Project Support
As a steward of the Elder brand, the Marketing Coordinator ensures consistency and alignment on projects with brand standards through effective communication and strategic support.
- Design and procure custom job site signage that adheres to brand guidelines.
- Plan and participate in project milestone events, capturing content for media and marketing use.
- Oversee the creation and management of video production projects.
Communication & Engagement
The Marketing Coordinator enhances Elder Construction’s visibility and industry presence through content management, event coordination, and internal and external communications.
- Produce and optimize digital content analyzing engagement metrics to enhance brand presence. This includes website, social media channels and any other avenues.
- Coordinate, execute, and communicate details for company and industry events.
- Coordinate promotional inventory for projects, personnel, and events.
- Maintain internal communications program to facilitate effective information sharing.
- Monitor industry news, market trends, and relevant digital content (e.g., LinkedIn, trade publications) and share insights with key teams.
- Engage in professional development, industry boards, and community-focused initiatives.
- Represent Elder Construction at industry events, trade organizations (e.g., SMPS, AGC), and other strategic networking opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a marketing role within the A/E/C industry, with a strong understanding of industry terminology and procedures.
Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro), PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
A successful team member will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and demonstrate the ability to execute multiple concurrent high-quality deliverables with rapid deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience in the A/E/C industry will also be considered.
General knowledge of Cosential and Hootsuite is preferred but not required.
This position will require occasional travel to job sites and events.
