Position Overview:

As a TRADE SHOW EXHIBITS AND EVENTS DESIGN DIRECTOR, you will be responsible for overseeing the conceptualization, design, and execution of trade show booths and experiential environments. You will work closely with clients, project managers, and internal design teams to ensure that every project not only meets but exceeds client expectations. Your creativity will help bring brand identities to life in immersive, interactive environments at major trade shows and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and execution of innovative trade show booth concepts and experiential environments.
  • Work directly with clients to understand their goals, brand identity, and messaging to ensure designs align with their vision.
  • Staying informed on design technology (AI), industry trends and design practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including account managers, designers, fabricators, and logistics, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Oversee all aspects of booth design, from conceptual sketches to detailed construction plans, ensuring functionality, safety, and branding integrity.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in experiential marketing, trade show designs, and technologies to keep our designs cutting-edge.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Lead client presentations, explaining design concepts, strategies, and material selections.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with trade show organizers, contractors, and other vendors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Exhibit Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in TRADE SHOW DESIGN, experiential design, or event design.
  • Proven experience managing and directing design teams, ensuring creative and operational success.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating previous experiential trade show projects and design innovations.
  • Expertise in 3D design software (e.g., (Preferably 3D Max). AutoCAD, Rhino, or similar tools).
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

This full-time position offers a 40-hour work week and a salary, depending on experience, with the possible option for remote work for the right candidate.
