Job Summary

Chicken of the Sea Frozen Foods is a leader in frozen shrimp, refrigerated crab, and other premium seafood. Under parent company Thai Union, we are a leader in sustainability with some of the most ambitious commitments in the industry.


We seek a Marketing Manager with 5-7 years of experience to lead B2B and B2C marketing and PR, helping to drive sales goals and maintain our brand positioning. This crew member will be an integral part of the team, working cross-functionally internally and externally with multiple freelancers and agency partners.


Salary Range for this role is $85k - $115, DOE, + bonus.


Responsibilities:

Drive marketing strategy and lead execution with key stakeholders and collaborators

Champion the industry brand and owned products brands, ensuring consistency internally and externally

Customer communication, including regular email outreach and social content

New product and capabilities launches and announcements

Trade show planning, design, and materials

Development and maintenance of sales materials

Gather insights (industry and consumer where needed) to support marketing activity

Work directly with customers and sales team on shopper marketing programs to drive key projects

Support sales team with necessary product photography and imagery, as well as any marketing content needed for customer databases/portals

Work with agency partners and freelancers on all design and campaign execution

Partner with Innovation Team on new item sell-in and positioning

Maintain all website content, updates, and manage inbound website sales inquiries

Manage industry advertising contracts and creative

Lead packaging design for new items and redesigns for existing items

Lead sustainable packaging project to ensure global commitments are met

Own onboarding of Mox (packaging approval software)

Maintain and track budget and invoices monthly, work with Finance on monthly forecast updates

Own trademarks and renewals with Legal


Minimum Qualifications:

5-7 years of experience in marketing/brand communications, preferably in Food & Beverage industry and/or B2B

Entrepreneurial self-starter that thrives in a collaborative environment where they can lead the marketing direction

Strong project management and teamwork to lead large cross-functional projects

Excellent writing and clear communication skills

Strong creative thinking skills and the ability to generate innovative marketing ideas

Able to organize workload, prioritize and multi-task work under pressure in a fast paced environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Must be willing to work In-office 4 days per week in El Segundo

Preferred Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field

Basic working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator/Creative Suite

Familiarity with Syndigo or other GDSN platforms

Knowledge of Mox (formerly Blue) packaging approval software


Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, communicate (typically by talking, listening, writing, and typing), move around the office to various locations for meetings and in-person gatherings, and reach or carry materials with arms and hands.

Moreover, the employee is required to operate telephones, computers and other standard office equipment. Employee may, on occasion, be required to lift up to 35 lbs.
