Account Supervisor, Communications
The Account Supervisor plays a key role in steering the day-to-day account management and direction of account teams. The role will focus on designing unique storytelling opportunities as we help emerging brands and leading companies bring their stories to life in differentiated and compelling ways. The Account Supervisor helps support team leads in overseeing the overall success and health of their account teams, nurturing client relationships, and managing account profitability. The role will also play a significant part in organic development and coaching of assigned team(s).

Client Focus: ● Develop and manage creative, strategic programs, projects, and initiatives that enhance client brands and advance their overarching communication objectives ● Oversee teams and ensure all deadlines and client expectations are met; provide solutions to maintain client satisfaction ● Provide strategic counsel to clients and internal teams on an ongoing basis, taking into consideration client goals and budget ● Work with team leads to oversee client and team health and provide constructive suggestions on team roles, resources and workflow to maximize efficiency ● Bring a big picture view to planning, developing goals and directing efforts for best client business results ● Secure media opportunities for clients and the agency by bringing a strong awareness of the media landscape and established relationships with reporters across sectors ● Maintain a strong network of media and influencer connections, sharing proactive opportunities with account teams and the agency ● Help run client strategy meetings and provide high-level counsel and recommendations ● Create and edit complex content, including presentations and strategic plans ● Assist with high-level client positioning and message development ● Assist clients and team leads during crisis situations ● Manage client budgets and communications around weekly and monthly billing ● Assist with onboarding new team members
Internal Agency Focus: ● Actively participate in the new business process by vetting opportunities, supporting intake calls, proposal and pitch development, providing input and recommendations, etc. ● Represent agency and/or clients at key industry events ● Contribute to the agency training and development program and lead agency trainings ● Proactively mentor SAE, AE, AAE and Associate-level employees with a focus on growth and development; provide timely and constructive suggestions to teammates/peers ● Serve as the direct manager for Associates
What You’ll Need: ● B.S. in Communications or related, advanced degree preferred ● 5+ years public relations, media relations, corporate communications experience (can be combined) ● 2+ years direct experience supervising individuals and managing teams ● 2+ years project management experience ● Excellent writing and editing skills ● Deep industry knowledge ● Demonstrated understanding of complex products, services and solutions Who We Are: Outcast is a strategic communications agency that helps startups and established brands shape the future through creative storytelling and data-driven strategies.
