Creative Director, Copy , you will provide direction and oversight for the voice and tone of digital campaigns within Moore as well as a collaborative role with sister agencies to co-create client copy. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills, know how to tell a compelling story, position an offer, possess the ability to motivate a donor to act, and enjoy working in a fast-paced creative environment. Additionally, they will have the ability to mentor other writers by reviewing their work, providing constructive criticism, and helping develop creative campaigns that communicate the organization’s marketing objectives.

Moore Media & Digital, a division of Moore,

works to build donor surround sound with video, audio, and other digital messages. This includes programmatic video, CTV, programmatic display, email, texting, and some social ads, as well as non-addressable media like DRTV, traditional radio advertising, and other digital services like website design. This position will be hybrid out of our Lincoln, MA, Tulsa, OK, or Lanham, MD office. Your Impact: Collaborate with client and internal stakeholders including sister agencies to develop and deliver clear, concise, and compelling copy to support our clients’ digital fundraising campaigns. Work to solve client issues by reassessing and realigning copy needs to client goals as necessary. Provide leadership on the establishment of client voice, tone, and copywriting standards for all clients while maintaining each client’s brand guidelines and reviewing copywriters’ work for adherence to strategy, client mandatories, and direction in the creative brief. Work with account team partners to understand and effectively represent clients’ missions to donors and prospects. Present creative concepts to internal teams and clients; articulate creative strategies and how the work supports the strategy. Develop new creative concepts for client packages in storytelling and messaging. Work with new business development team to create proposals for current and prospective clients as needed. Your Profile: 6+ years writing for nonprofit clients in a fast-paced agency environment. 3+ years of management level experience (ACD, Sr. AD, Sr. Copywriter) in a creative department as a copywriter. Four-year degree or equivalent experience required in a related field. Experience with writing for non-profit fundraising is required. Experience with significant, nationally recognized clients in the non-profit space. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Strong knowledge of copywriting for the digital space, digital creative design, multi-channel integration, user experience, creative processes, messaging tactics, production, and best practices. Extreme attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting critical deadlines. Ability to manage brainstorming sessions and ensure they produce actionable ideas. Strategic, highly conceptual thinker able to understand broader issues that affect clients’ needs for copy. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to meet client fundraising goals. Available to commute to our Lincoln, MA, Tulsa, OK, or Lanham, MD office 2-4 days per week.
